Fearrington Village artist Harry Lane Wurster has won the second place award in the acrylics category at the opening of the 31st Annual Fine Arts Festival of the Arts Council of Moore County (ACME). Wurster's painting Untitled Abstract #8 was one of more than 300 entries exhibited at the Canpbell House Galleries in Southern Pines. The painting was purchased by the Charles Schwab investment firm, for which Wurster received the ACMC Purchase Award. Harry Lane Wurster is a longtime resident of Fearrington Village, and active in the arts and writing communities and in community volunteer activities.
