Murry Handler makes social comment with his art

SAVE THE DATE -- Everyone is invited to the Artist’s Reception Oct. 21 from 5-7PM (part of Third Friday ArtWalk)
Durham Arts Guild 120 Morris St. Downtown Durham
Exhibit open Oct. 8 through Nov. 13

Fearrington Village artist Murry Handler will exhibit his paintings on social themes together for the same time at the Durham Arts Guild. His dynamic ink paintings, calligraphic brush drawings and large-scale works have received recognition over the past decades from collectors and art lovers in the triangle, in New York City and beyond. His serious political statements, a major component in his work, have never before been shown together in one exhibition. "This body of work is my effort to purge my mind of the pain and suffering that can befall mankind" stresses Handler. "It is a privilege to show them in one ensemble."

Arts Council hours: Mon-Sat 9AM -9PM Sun 1-6PM
