Altered Books Workshop by Carol Owen

Join author and artist Carol Owen for workshop on altered books in her Fearrington Village studio. Open to all skill levels, this six hour workshop will explore pockets, attachments, folds, surface treatments, adhesives, finishes, closures and more. 


Carol is a professional artist who’s mixed media work has appeared in numerous publications and is featured in private collections around the world. She is the author of Crafting Personal Shrines, Lark Books, 2004 and a comprehensive book about Altered Books.

A Simple Guide To Screen Printing

Learn how to create multiples of your original art work in a one day workshop with Vidabeth Bensen at the ArtsCenter in Carrboro on Saturday, April 26 from 10 AM - 4 PM.  The paper stencil and drawing fluid/screen filler methods will be taught. Students will print their own designs on T-shirts, cards, fabric, and/or paper.
