Once again the village center at Fearrington Village will be filled with art and fine crafts. Art in the Village is fast becoming a tradition. Now in its third year, is it an opportunity for the many talented visual artists who call Fearrington Village home to display their work.

Fearrington Village is the perfect setting to stimulate creative expression. There is an extraordinary timeless quality to the many gardens, woodland trails, and ponds.  The two hundred year old farm house, dairy barn, silo, and other farm buildings (now an award winning Inn, restaurants, shops and a delightful independent bookstore) holds an old world charm. Galloway cows and goats; deer, rabbits and turtles; as well as an abundant variety of birds offer ample subject options. They enchant the artists and have been captured in landscapes, botanical and wildlife paintings, drawings and photographs.

Visitors to Art in the Village are in for a real treat. The local, regional and nationally-known artists (painters, potters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, woodworkers, and fabric artists) offer a wide variety of styles and media displaying their work with a causal friendliness that encourages questions, welcomes browsing and offers support to find that perfect piece for your home or gift-giving.

Join us, spend a delightful day. Unable to attend? Visit our artists’ websites. Many open their studios by appointment and welcome visitors. Please share, like and link to our web site: www.fearringtonartists.org.
